Before you start your first live course, take a moment to get everything together. First, make sure you have a smartphone available, as liilix only runs on iOS and Android. You won't need anything else for your first test. Be aware, however, that for a "real" Live course, a TV screen and a headset are very handy additions. You will then be able to see all the participants very well even from some distance from the TV, and the headset will greatly improve the sound quality of the broadcast.

Download liilix Pro from either the Apple Appstore or the Google Playstore. Sign in with your credentials and you're ready to go. The first thing you'll see after logging in is a calendar screen with no entries. That's because you don't have any courses scheduled yet. Tap the button with the "+ symbol" to create your first course. Enter the following details:

1. Course title: The name of your course. Be as specific as possible, as your course will be one among many. Simply "Yoga" is not a good idea as others may have chosen the same course title.

2. Weekday(s): Choose the day you want your course to start. Normally all your live courses will start on this day.

3. Course sessions: Choose how many times the course will take place in total.

4. Start date: Choose a suitable date for your course.

5. Start time: Choose a suitable time for your course.

6. Language: Set the conversation language for your course.

7. Description: Find some good words to describe to your audience what will be taught in the course.

8. Price: You can only offer free courses at this time. However, the feature to charge money for your course will come soon.

9. Participants: If you want to open the course to all, set the respective toggle. If you want your course to be open to invitees only, tap Add students.

10. On the student list screen, enter the email address of the first participant to be invited. Tap ENTER on the keyboard to complete this step. You can now add more email addresses.

11. When you have added all participants, tap INVITE to return to the previous screen.

12. Check all entries and finally tap SAVE. Now all invitations will be sent out.

Be ready to start the first live class of the course. If you plan to use a TV screen, turn on screen sync on your smartphone. You can start the course 15 before the scheduled start time. To do so, tap START LIVE CLASS in the calendar overview. On the following view, aim the smartphone camera so that you can be seen clearly. Position yourself so that you can see the TV screen and the camera equally well, if necessary. Now tap GO ON AIR. Wait until your participants have connected. If you use AirPlay to connect to the TV, you will see your participants on the TV screen and the control elements on your smartphone. Otherwise, participants and controls are visible on the smartphone or on the smartphone and the TV screen at the same time. By the way, if there are more than five participants in your live session, the video changes every 30 seconds to show the next five participants. Now your course can begin.
